Banding and Strapping

• Strapping buckles for stainless-steel strapping (also known as ear locking seals or wing seals) are used for heavy-duty outdoor applications where banding is under high tension and when protection against rust and corrosion is required. They are used in conjunction with a tensioning tool and can be used on flat, round, and irregular shapes, such as hose clamps and securing signs to posts.
• Seals for stainless steel strapping include buckles and clips used to secure the ends on road signs, pipe, cable and hose bundles, and other indoor and outdoor applications. Also called band clamps, these stainless steel seals provide protection against rust and corrosion in extreme indoor and outdoor applications where temperature fluctuations and conditions could weaken plastic seals, or moisture could cause steel components to rust or corrode. The strapping threads through buckles or clips and secures with a sealing tool.

• 201 stainless steel strapping resists damage caused by long-term exposure to weather. It has a high-tensile strength to prevent the strapping from tearing or pulling apart and is often used to hang street signs, secure pipe, and secure shipments for transport. Banding constructed of 201 stainless steel provides good resistance to rust and oxidation and mild-to-moderate resistance to corrosion.
• Stainless steel strapping coils and bands are used indoors and outdoors where long exposures to high humidity and moisture can cause standard steel banding to rust. Solid stainless steel construction means that the strapping continues to resist rust and corrosion even when the surface is scratched or marred. It withstands attack from chemicals, humidity, moisture, and changes in temperature caused by exposure to the outdoors. It is used in manufacturing, water and wastewater facilities, and other plants and facilities that experience high humidity or exposure to water. Apply them using manual strapping tools or a strapping machine.
