STIHL PICCO™ Micro™ Mini 3 saw chain is a low-kickback, narrow kerf, low-profile chain ideal for smaller chainsaws. It is very smooth-cutting and features lightweight cutters that allow more power to be available for cutting. This semi-chisel chain does not usually get dull as fast as full-chisel chain in normal use and is slightly easier to maintain and sharpen. It is specifically designed for corded electric-, battery- and gasoline-powered chainsaws or pole pruners with less than 1.5kW (2.0 bhp) of power output.

Applications: The PMM3 chain is ideal for small branches and general cleanup and maintenance around the home. Professionals requiring plunge-cutting should use this chain as well.

STIHL RAPID™ Micro™ 3 is the low-kickback version of STIHL RAPID™ Micro™ saw chain. RM3 retains all the performance of STIHL RM chain, with the added benefit of low kickback to reduce the risk of kickback injury. It is a taller-profile chain with more mass for chainsaws with larger displacement engines. Featuring a semi-chisel type of cutter, it typically doesn’t get dull as fast as a full-chisel chain during normal use, making it easier to maintain.

Applications: The RM3 chain is ideal for felling, bucking and limbing. It is a general-purpose chain for the high demands of full-time professionals in agriculture, construction and the forestry industry. It is also suitable for nonprofessional users working under similar conditions.

STIHL RAPID™ Super 3 is a reduced-vibration and low-kickback version of STIHL RAPID™ Super. RS3 is an aggressive, fast-cutting, full-chisel chain but has a single-humped drive link to reduce kickback, and the cutter and tie strap design reduces vibration levels when cutting. The razor-edged, square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimum chain friction for an exceptionally smooth and clean cut in hard or frozen wood. It offers excellent cutting and plunge-cutting efficiency. RS3 chain typically cuts faster than RM chain, but requires careful sharpening and maintenance to continue to perform well.

Applications: Best suited for medium to high-powered chainsaws, the RS3 chain is ideal for felling, bucking and limbing. It is a general-purpose chain for the high demands of full-time professionals.
